Psalm 100 vs 1-2

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.” Psalm 100:1-2

This is one of the psalms that expresses thanksgiving for the goodness and mercy of God. It extends to all the inhabitants of the earth. We are to know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are his people both Jew and gentile believers and we are the sheep of His pasture (Psalm 100:3). He gives us all His grace which we should recognize, as we receive it every day.

If we are more attentive and we stop to look around us, we will see that there is always something more that God is doing for us; unfortunately most of the time we do not notice or look for it. However, if we pay attention, we will see, that with each new sunrise God stands ready to offer us something unique and full of His grace.

In the New Testament, “grace” takes on a special redemptive sense in which God makes available His favor on behalf of sinners, who actually do not deserve it. The fact is that human salvation is the result of God’s grace.

Yes, our Creator gives us every morning the rich and gracious blessing of life, the opportunities, the strength to achieve and overcome challenges and gain victory over defeats and our enemies. Therefore those who trust in Him have a new expectation that lies firmly in His Word. Romans 8:28 says: “We know that all things work together for good to them that love God …”

So when we feel that everything seems to be going wrong, everything is against us, we are to: “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations,” (Psalm 100:4-5). We need to remember that there is always a reason for us to be grateful to God.

When we really trust, He always surprises us with His actions of aiding us amid our struggles or sufferings. Because if we trust, even if everything is apparently going wrong, we know that God is working in our favor. Once the solution is visible to our eyes, we see His faithfulness and that His deliverance arrived “on time” because God’s time is always the right time. It is a joyful realization when we see our Lord at work and it makes us more dependent on Him as we rest in the shadow of the Almighty and realize that: He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:2

We might know someone who is going through trials and we are to encourage them with the certainty that God is looking at them and is planning their deliverance at this time. We must have faith and trust in Him and give others the hope that only comes from the Lord. He gave us His live so that we might have ever lasting life and He is always there by our side. However; to fully receive greatest blessings, we must completely and unconditionally surrender our lives to His Lordship and be determined to obey His Word.

May we witness God’s infinite goodness, His presence grace and power, and may we be “more than conquerors” in the blessed person of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Let us encourage one another and come joyfully before the Lord, worshiping Him with gladness and in song. As we do this the enemy flees from us and our hearts are filled with hope and joy.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
