CAMALU – Baja California Norte

Vicente Perez Reyes, is the pastor of Iglesia Bautista Nuevo Jerusalém in Camalu, Baja California. Vicente and his wife Ana have two children, a girl and a boy.

Vicente and his family live in a very poor area of Baja California, he and his church minister the love of Jesus in the village of Camalu and other surrounding communities. Vicente is bi-lingual, he learned English, when he worked in the U. S. for a period of time. He is a faithful man of prayer; before becoming the pastor in Camalu, Vicente would get up at three in the morning to pray for the congregation and the pastor of the church that he was attending in the U.S.  Soon the pastor and a few other members met with Vicente at 3 A.M. to pray, God honored their prayers and He began to work on behalf of His people in a mighty way.

Due to his parent’s age and poor health, Vicente returned to Camalu and began attending the church that he now pastors. We met Vicente while we were serving as missionaries in Baja California and ministered with him and his church.

His vision and goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, with everyone in his town so that they can reach out to the other communities around them with God’s message of love and salvation.

Vicente and the people of his church visit many homes each week and they consistently share the gospel each day with the people in their area. They also have a very effective ministry entitled, “Fiesta Para Los Niños” every Saturday for the children in their communities.

F.P.L.N. is like V.B.S in the U.S., the children learn about Jesus and how they can know Him as their personal Savior, sing gospel songs, play games and make Christian crafts.  The church has a large group of children attending each F.P.L.N. Vicente is requesting that we ask God to send more adults to assist the church in their outreach to the children in their communities.

We have been Vicente’s primary source of financial support and we consistently pray for him, his family and his faithful church members.

We are praying for other faith partners to join us in prayer that God will continue to protect and empower Vicente, his ministry and the church that he so faithfully and humbly leads for the glory of God.

During our many years of ministry, missions, and evangelism we have not found anyone more worthy of our Christian confidence, prayer and financial assistance than Vicente and his family.

Pastor Vicente is a very careful student of the Bible and his teaching is always empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We are praying that God will lead others to help us develop a monthly financial support base for Vicente and his family so that he can be winning the lost and discipling believers and not have to work in the fields planting and harvesting vegetables to support his family.

As a member of God’s family will you prayerfully consider helping our brother and his family with their needs?

God bless you all, thank you for letting us share with you.
